Senior executives like you are extremely busy and pressed for time. To stay informed, you dedicate a lot of attention to obtaining industry information and staying abreast of market and economic conditions. Often there is hardly any time left to pick up a book to enhance your own learning and reflecting.
However, there is frequently valuable time available commuting or flying, idle time in airports and hotel rooms, or even the occasional walk in nature. Sometimes shifting your mindset is valuable to gain a new insight as to how to solve a problem or what decision to make.
Following is a list of eight audiobooks I am recommending to any senior executive and, in fact, anyone who wants to play at the highest level. Even if you have read or listened to any one of these books, consider listening again. I can promise you, you will gain different insights the second time around.
